about us
Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers has a rich history of caring for the health of the citizens in the Quaboag Hills and Pioneer Valley. The 74-bed hospital, established in 1913, provides a broad range of emergency, medical, surgical and psychiatric services to residents of the Quaboag Hills and Pioneer Valley.
The vision of providing outpatient health care for the community became a reality in 1968 with the opening of the Wing Medical Center in Palmer. Four additional medical centers were built to reach out to our communities in Belchertown, Ludlow, Monson, and Wilbraham.
In 1999, Wing Memorial Hospital became a member of UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, ensuring that the hospital could be able to continue to offer a high standard of care and expand services in the community. It also means that we can meet your health care needs close to home.
The 58,000 square-foot Country Bank Pavilion opened in 2008 and brings a new caliber of health care to the region. This state-of-the-art facility - with its new operating rooms, intensive care unit, ambulatory surgery unit, and inpatient unit - is a tangible representation of our mission.
Wing Memorial Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, and is designated a Primary Stroke Service by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
